Audits, Estimates and other related reports provide a wealth of quantifiable information and statistics on the allocation of resources by the Colonial Government. Alongside Accounts, Audits and Estimates, are the Financial Reports from 1912 to 1961 (excluding 1914-1919). Income Tax was introduced on the 1st April, 1944, under Income Tax ordinance No. 1 of 1943. Income Tax and Post Office Audits are then also included alongside the Accounts for the Freetown Municipality.
